Four Hands Embroidery collaborated with artist Jordan Maurice to digitize and digitally embroider workwear gloves, which were made available for sale on his personal website. Together they created the TSP.JM Embroidered Studio Canvas Glove, meticulously crafted from premium natural cotton canvas. These gloves feature reinforced palms, incorporating a second layer of durable canvas, providing exceptional protection against sharp objects during work.
Jordan Maurice, a talented designer based in Brooklyn, New York, originally hails from rural Illinois and received training in the industrial midwest.
Since his move to New York City in 2015, Jordan has established his studio practice, specializing in lighting and furniture design. His approach to design emphasizes the conscientious use of materials and a deep respect for the life cycle of objects. Jordan's work often showcases minimalist forms that harmoniously blend intricate manufacturing techniques with sculptural simplicity.
In addition to his independent practice, Jordan has worked for prominent names in the design industry. He served as the Senior Designer for Matter Made, contributed as an Intermediate Designer for Yabu Pushelberg, and held a position as a Designer for Lindsey Adelman.
